CYCLE SPORT PENDLE – STEVEN BURKE SPORTS HUB

CSP, COVID-19, 2021 Update

CSP / Pendle Panthers have not forgotten you! Fingers well and truly crossed that we can send positive news about sessions restarting in early April based on an initial British Cycling statement this week. British Cycling will release updated guidance on the 22nd March 2021.  You can be assured that we are ready to restart the Saturday and Wednesday club sessions.

CSP activity and sessions will run in line with current British Cycling and Pendle Borough Council Covid guidelines. Rider numbers are being limited, attendance is by pre-booking only. There are no indoor sessions if poor weather.

Cycle Sport Pendle is a British Cycling accredited Go-Ride club based at the Steven Burke Sports Hub in the shadow of iconic Pendle Hill. The club has riders across a wide span of ages from Nelson, Burnley, Colne, Hyndburn, Rossendale, Craven and the surrounding areas.

CSP provides opportunities for boys and girls to participate, enjoy and progress in all aspects of on and off road cycling. The facilities at the Hub include a 1.1km floodlit closed road circuit, 600m BMX/MTB pump track and a clubroom with indoor meeting and training space.

Our youth members, including parents and adult members participate in many forms of leisure cycling and racing: circuit, BMX, Moutain Bike, Cyclocross, Track (velodrome), with help from our experienced coaches.

Never in my wildest dreams did I think one day I would be an Olympic Champion. I am incredibly proud to have a facility in my home town that’s used to such excellent effect by CSP
